S.F.K. Pierikos (Greek: Σ.Φ.Κ. Πιερικός) is a Greek football club based in Katerini, Greece, part of the major multi-sport club of the same name. Their name was inspired from the State's name of Pieria. The club recently competed in the Super League 2 2021–22, at the Northern Group and got relegated to Gamma Ethniki.

History

History

In 1963, Pierikos played for the first time in the First National Division where he stayed for 9 whole years, while in the same year reached the final of the Greek Cup facing Olympiakos. Club's performances were often impressive, as it consistently finished in the top 10 of scoreboard of the league. In 1972 was demoted but returned soon. In 1975 the team got promoted to the First Division again and remained for 3 years. The club was then demoted again. Pierikos was promoted three more times to the First National, but never managed to establish itself again in the 1st Division. The biggest distinction of the club was to finish 3 times in the 5th place of the championship, but also the Cup final against Olympiakos in 1963 where it was defeated 3–0.

Pierikos on Kreeka jalgpalliklubi, mis asub Katerínis, Kreeka Kesk-Makedoonias. Klubi asutati 1961. aastal ja see mängib Kreeka kolmandas liigas, Gamma Ethniki. Pierikose kodustaadion on Kateríni staadion, mis mahutab 6 200 pealtvaatajat.

Pierikose kõige edukam periood oli 1980. aastatel, mil nad mängisid Kreeka Superliigas. Klubi on võitnud ka Kreeka karikavõistlused ühel korral, aastal 1985. Pierikos on tuntud oma tugeva noorteakadeemia poolest, kust on tulnud palju silmapaistvaid mängijaid, sealhulgas Giánnis Giánnou, Kostas Katsouranis ja Vasílis Torosídis.

Klubi praegune peatreener on Nikos Papavasiliou. Pierikos on tuntud oma kirglike toetajate poolest, kes loovad staadionil erilise atmosfääri.
